The brand history film that made up the brand's history
We made up a history instead. A ridiculous, alternative history that imagines what could have happened if Ballantine’s hadn’t stayed true, complete with idiotic brand extensions. The Could-Be-True Story turned the genre on its head and showed that this 187-year-old brand still has a sense of humour.
Ballantine’s Whisky wanted a heritage film to celebrate how the brand has stayed true to its founder’s beliefs since 1827. But how do you tell a story of Scottish tradition to a target audience of young Europeans who aren’t particularly interested?
